So this is where I got to go last week for work. Yeah, it's big...
It's the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank telescope in West Virginia. Over 400 ft tall. The dish is over 2 acres in area, about 300 ft across. There's lots of fog in the morning, and the mountains all around just make it an awesome thing. The last morning there I went up to the dish, and to the receiver room all the way at the top and took some pictures. Very cool.

That is pretty cool. Were you contacted by any previously unknown life forms while you were there?
No, unfortunately, those broadcasts only happen on the first Tuesday of the month, and we weren't there for that. :-)
Interestingly, they have a science center at the NRAO where they do tours of the telescope, give an overview of what all the telescopes do. They said that in almost every tour there's at least one person asking if they've heard from those previously unknown life forms. I guess there's one in every bunch.
I bet you can get every channel ever thought of on that thing!
or try to detect the faint radiowaves of dying stars, but man ESPN in Japanese would be awesome!!
